Pick VSCO Workspace if
- You use Táve's automations every week
- You want galleries with the CRM, in one membership
- One payment a year suits how you budget
- You are on an old Táve plan that still renews at its price
Pick Studio Ninja if
- You'd rather pay monthly, from $16 a month
- You want to test first, with a 7-day trial
- You have years of Táve history to move, free
- You keep your gallery service whichever you pick
How much automation will you really use? That answer picks the tool.
Neither one fits? There is a smaller answer.
Some photographers want neither a yearly bundle nor a capped cheapest plan. WeddingRunbook is one plan, with no job caps.

Choosing between the two: common questions
Which costs less, VSCO Workspace or Studio Ninja?
For the full Workspace, Studio Ninja. Its plans cost $16 to $40 a month, or $160 to $400 a year, so even its top plan costs less than VSCO One at $499.99 a year. VSCO's free plan costs nothing, but it is a limited Workspace. VSCO One does include client galleries, which Studio Ninja lacks.
Is VSCO Workspace the same thing as Táve?
Yes: it is Táve under a new name, VSCO Workspace since August 2025. The full version has been sold to newcomers only through VSCO One from June 2026. Plans bought as Táve keep renewing at their old price, and as of June 2026 VSCO had set no end date for them.
Do VSCO Workspace and Studio Ninja have caps?
Yes. Studio Ninja's cheapest plan holds 5 active jobs, 1 user and 1 contact form, so most photographers need the $27-a-month plan. At $40 a month, the top one lets in any number of users and 3 brands. On VSCO, the free plan is the limited one: 1 contact form and 1 brand.
Do both tools target photographers?
Both do. Studio Ninja comes with workflow templates for photographers, but no galleries. VSCO Workspace, the old Táve, adds deep automation and client galleries, sold in a yearly membership. So you choose between a monthly plan and a yearly bundle.
Can I move from Táve or VSCO Workspace to Studio Ninja?
Yes. Studio Ninja moves your records in and trains you one to one for free, on every plan from $16 a month. Move future bookings first, and run both tools for a booking or two. Moving into Workspace is free too, with VSCO One: for most studios, VSCO's team does it in about 48 business hours.
What does WeddingRunbook not do yet?
WeddingRunbook does not do online booking, lead capture forms, automated email sequences or card payments in the portal yet. Both tools here do more of it today: Studio Ninja's top plan takes any number of booking forms, and VSCO One carries Táve's automation.
